Policies
 
To ensure I meet the required standards in childcare I have strict policies in place. These will be discussed at our first meeting and a copy of all my policies is kept in my portfolio which we will go through during our meeting.
My policies cover:

Activities
 
Activities are planned according to the childs age and stage of development and they range from structured, supervised group activities, to quiet, individual activities.
I have a weekly and daily planner on display so that parents can see what the children have been doing and a daily journal which the child takes home.
Activities include:
  • Painting and colouring
  • Model making, Art and craft
  • Messy play - Sand, water, cornflour
  • Clay and play dough
  • Music and movement
  • Educational television
  • Books and story telling
Outings
 
I will try to take the children out everyday to enjoy the local suroundings and gain new experiences. Outings are dependant on weather and childrens arrival and collection times. If an outing is not possible then the children have use of the rear garden which is sheltered.

Snacks and meals are freshly prepared and are nutritious and healthy. I am happy to cater for any special dietry requirements and allergies. At present I cannot cater for any under one's however when I am able to I would request parents bring in baby milk.
Fees cover snacks, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is an additional extra.
 
Breakfast - Cereal or toast
am Snack - Fruit and breadsticks
Lunch - Homemade shepherds pie and vegetables, followed by custard
pm Snack - vegetable sticks, yoghurt
Tea - Spaghetti hoops on toast
 
Water is freely available throughout the day, other drinks will be offered at mealtimes, including Milk, flavoured milk, squashes and fruit juices.
 
Fees and Hours
 
My hourly rate is £3.80
This excludes breakfast which is 75p a day extra.
 
I work Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and available during school holidays.
 
Holidays
Parent and child up to 15 days a year - half fee
Childminder up to 15 days a year - half fee
4 weeks notice on both parties
 
Sickness
Parent and child sick - full fee
Childminder sick - no fee
